At night I dream I’m asleep
In cool linen bedding, sturdy and deep
Dream me needs her rest
In her comfy white nest
When I wake up I’m so tired I weep
At night I dream I’m asleep
In cool linen bedding, sturdy and deep
Dream me needs her rest
In her comfy white nest
When I wake up I’m so tired I weep
When bed time is so far away
And you don’t want to watch, read, or play
There’s nothing to do
Except to wait through
The endlessness of a long day
There once was a horrible slug
Who was round and fat as a pug
She lost all her friends
To achieve her own ends
And now she goes out with a bug
(I found this in a pile of papers dating back to 1995.)
